As many of you know, I am on my journey to lose 30 pounds. I just started with Nutrisystem a few weeks ago. I have the food part down, and now I need to focus on exercising again. Here are my five favorite exercises that I feel make me much stronger.
Favorite Exercise #1: The Yoga Boat Pose (for abdominal and core strength) – I do this while watching TV
Favorite Exercise #2: The Yoga Plank Pose (for arm and spine strength) – I also do this while watching TV
Favorite Exercise #3: The Kettlebell Swing (for hip, back, and thigh strength)
Favorite Exercise #4: Bosu Ball Leg Strengthening Exercises (for the core and leg muscles)
Favorite Exercise #5: Exercise Ball Sit-Ups (for your abdominals)

I guarantee if you do these at least 3-4 times a week, you will feel MUCH stronger in the next couple of weeks (and probably lose some inches as well). I can do all these at night while I am watching my bad reality TV shows. I also do them after my 30 minutes of cardio at the gym! Lastly, an added bonus of these exercises has been the fact that I do not need to see my physical therapist or chiropractor anymore for my lower back pain!

I love the plank. It looks easy but is far from it. I would love to try the kettle ball. I have seen it so much and looks like an awesome workout. Thanks this post was just the push I needed to kick off my weight loss challenge.

Those planks — my LEAST favorite of ALL exercises, but man, do they work!

Love the kettle bell. Was hard to figure out at 1st but my trainor friend “trained” me with it and now I love. Done wrong though, it can hurt you so I recommend finding out how to do it right. Never used the Bosu Ball. Will have to check out.
Planks- LOVE THEM! I could hold them for quite a bit! I will have to try the others!
These are some great exercises! I will pass them on to my daughter.
In order to make your abs protrude you need to thicken those squares with weighted abdominal exercise. Try this program for a month and see how you can tighten your mid section in now time by incorporating the suggestions above.
