My son has LOVED these books since age 1 and now he is 4 1/2 and STILL loves them! The Byron Barton board books are very easy to read and very interesting/educational. The "Fancy Nancy" books by Jane O'Conner (author) and Robin Preiss Glasser (illustrator) are probably are wonderful books for vocabulary building. We have many of them, both the hardback books and the Step-Into Reading paperback series.
