Parents Want Toys That Are Educational
~ Kids Want Toys that are Fun! LeapFrog Does it Both! ~
As you already know, we are huge fans of LeapFrog here at our house! Last year Santa brought the LeapPad to each of my kids, and they have spent the last year enjoying the great educational games for them. My daughter loves the books to read, and my son plays with the LeapSchool games. He has been getting his math facts down with that particular game. My son is 5 and my daughter is 8 years old. Many of the games are actually for kids ages 5-8, so they can share games which makes it even better.
My son also has the Tag Reader by LeapFrog. We were able to review that for a company, and my son got some books with it and the human body set. He loves playing with this at night before bed, and he has learned so many facts from “reading” with it. It’s also really reinforced his ability to sound out letters. There are fun games with the Tag too, and he never seems to get tired of playing with them.
This holiday season LeapFrog will be one of the top sellers for gifts just as last year! I was lucky enough to order two LeapPads last year right before they were sold out. People had a really hard time getting their hands on them. You could be in the same situation this year, so my advice is get your products now and hide them away!!! The LeapPad 2 is new this year, as well as some great games with popular characters. These will be very popular this holiday season!
I was fortunate enough to speak with child development expert, Dr. Jody Sherman LeVos, about LeapFrog products. I asked her questions like: what products are best for kids ages 5-8, what is the best early reader product, what toys will be hot this holiday season, and the EVER important question about how much time kids should spend using technology. I’m sure you would LOVE to hear what she said. Just check out the video below to hear her responses. Some might actually surprise you! I was surprised by some!
Are you ready to go find your LeapFrog items now for the holidays? I know I am! It’s better to get them now and be safe from them selling out! I know we’ll be purchasing some more games for the LeapPad and more books for our Tag Reader. I might have a few more items in mind too that my kids will love!
More About Dr. Jody Sherman LeVos:

Before joining LeapFrog, she was a visiting scholar at the University of California, Berkeley, a researcher and instructor, and a math textbook author. She is also the proud mother of two LeapFrog-aged boys. She earned her doctorate in developmental psychology (specializing in mathematical and cognitive development) at the University of Alberta, in Canada.
Disclaimer: I was given an item to thank me for my participation in this interview; however, all opinions are mine and mine alone!

We pulled out my oldest son’s leapfrog a couple of months ago, he is 15 has had it for 12 years and it still works. I was shocked. We will be buying new ones for my youngest because of the selection and quality, he is currently happy with his brothers.
We actually have 3 people chipping in so we can get my daughter a Leap Pad thingy. It’ll be from Santa 🙂
So cool you got to interview her! This looks like a great new toy!
LeapFrog is def a fave in our home. LeapPad not so much
When I was a child I wish I had LeapFrog! My future kids (no kids right now) will most definitely have LeapFrog. Thanks for sharing.
I love all the leapfrog products 🙂
I bought my daughter a Leap Frog when she was younger and she always played with it. I think it was one of the best things {and one of her favorites} I ever bought her.
