The First Day of Fall is Almost Here
~ Crisp Fresh Air is All Around ~
How do you feel about the changing in seasons? Do you like experiencing the four seasons throughout the year, or do you just like to live places that are warm all year round or cold all year round? I’ve lived all over the country, and now that we are living in New England I have a totally different feel about the fall season. I used to be sad during the fall because it marked the end of summer for me. Yes, I was a teacher and that meant back to work, but that wasn’t the only reason. I always felt that fall was drab, dreary, and just a sad time of the year. Well, my thoughts about that have now changed.
Here in New England fall is gorgeous! We get the most vibrant colors on the trees and the air feels so fresh and clean. Instead of the season feeling sad and the end of something, I now feel like it’s a season of warmth and rebirth. A fresh new look at things. The leaves fall from the trees to shed the old but with hope of the new appearing in the spring. The air also smells so fresh and new.

I definitely find myself appreciating what each season has to offer. Here in New England we really experience each season fully. What is your favorite season? What do you like to do in fall?

Beautiful! Living in Southern CA I really MISS the fall. Not too much changes color here and the crisp air just isn’t there! But we are still going pumpkin picking!

Spring is my all time favorite but Fall is a close 2nd! The crunchy leaves and the color in the trees! We visited the New England area a few years back in the fall – right smack in the midst of the best colors I had ever seen! Beautiful!
I love Fall..the temperatures, the leaves changing,Halloween. That pic of the burning bush is awesome..mine is tiny compared to that one.
Also love Spring..my favorite flowers are then and after some of the winters we have it’s very welcome.
We love fall around here. The color changes are amazing, and I love the fireplace smell, the need for layers, and the time change. I love it all. Fall is the best time of year for sure.

I love fall! I haven’t been to New England since I was a very young child. I would love to visit in the fall 🙂
I LOVE autumn! I didn’t growing up because it just meant cold weather! But now that we are where there are trees that actually change color instead of the evergreen pines of the forests, I actually like the season. I love the colors, the pumpkins, the baking, the smells! Oh it is fantastic! It also helps that my favorite apples are only available in the autumn, I love my honey crunch apples!
I also especially LOVE Halloween and all the festivities that go with it! I didn’t enjoy it as much as a kid, but now I’m a parent and I take my kids trick or treating, it is a blast!
Although, I still don’t like the cold. lol.
What a beautiful family. I am jealous of everyone that gets to see the seasons change. I was born and raised in Florida and would love to see something different. Maybe not to live, lol, but all the beautiful colors and getting to wear boots and jackets more than twice a year would be nice.
Fall and Spring are definitely my favorite seasons but I enjoy all that each season has to offer! As always, love your photographs!

LOVE your pictures as usual…and your list of Fall things is GREAT! I love the fall because I grew up in Arizona where we only have summer as a season with desert landscapes, but here in the midwest it is gorgeous Fall leaves and community events for families…and leaving the windows open to air out the house after a warm and humid summer 🙂
Fall is my favorite time of the year, too! We’re so fortunate to live in such a beautiful part of the country.
