My son played NCAA Football 12 with Dad, as you can see in this previous post. Now my daughter wanted a turn to play as well. She’s a little older anyway, so it was easier for her to understand the game. It was so cute watching her be interested in learning and watching hubby as well explaining the moves to her. I think she might even be more interested when College Football starts up again this season! Girls can like football too you know!
We went on “Launch Day” ~ July 10th to get the new NCAA Football 13 game. We previously played NCAA Football 12, so we were curious to see what new aspects to the game would be on the updated version. My kids were so excited to see the game at Walmart. We were on a search to find it and we did ~ with a nice big display to boot! My daughter noticed on the sign that you could make a customized cover. I told her we would do that once we got home!
When we got home I set-up the game up and Dad and Daughter had some bonding time. They chose their teams, hubby taught Kendal how to chose certain plays, and we were all blown away by how real the game looked compared to watching real games on TV. Kendal said, “It looks like a real football game!”It actually sounded like a real football game as well. Drew and I watched and cheered on Kendal and Dad! It was very cool!

After playing the game, I went and made a customized cover for my daughter. It was so easy to make! I just went to the You’re Covered App on Facebook for EA Sports. I was able to choose a console, team, upload a photo, share my cover on Facebook, and print it out at home! It was SO easy to do and SUPER fun to see my daughter’s face when I gave it to her. She asked how I made it and said, “It’s like magic!” So cute! She had so much fun with Daddy-Daughter time!

This is awesome. My daughter always wants to do things like this with her dad. My husband plays football game with my son. but my daughter will play wwe on playstion with her dad or supper mario carts with her dad on wii.
When my children were young, their dad had been raised in a era when men didn’t really have to interact with their kids to be a “good” father. I am so glad to see fathers nowdays realizing the importance of being actively involved with their children – sons and daughters – actually learning what their kids like and teaching their kids – it is great! I am really proud of my sons and the kind of dads they are.

I think daddy and daughter time is very important. My daughter is 13 and just started seeing her father again. To her it does not matter what they do she is happy being with daddy. That is what makes this story so cute…to here it doesn’t matter she has daddy all to herself

Ahhh Daddy and Daughter time. Mine was… confusing with my dad (my parents were divorced, so my sis and I got weekends with him. As for why it was confusing, just the ups and downs of his personality) but it’s nice to see when it works out really well for others 😀 I’m glad they had fun!!

Years ago I was at the friend of a friends house. He played with his sons but then he asked his daughter to get him a beer! an 8 year old. I was just out of college in the late 70’s and saw this as so sexist. It is so heartwarming to see guys in this day and age treat their daughters with respect, that they can play video games with the guys. My son plays video games with his daughters and its a very special bonding time. Good for you!!!
