What Do You Get a Tech Savvy Dad for
Father’s Day is approaching and you are wondering what to get your tech savvy dad who already has every tech gadget on the market? Well, here’s your answer! This new device for the iPhone that is not even on the market will be sure to please the Dad that has it all! It is called the iG1 Good Call Bluetooth Handset! This device makes it possible for Dad to use a more traditional looking phone and without losing any charge on his iPhone. This incredible device charges the iPhone as it is docked and in use.
Our family has been landline free for about 7 years! It was very strange at first, but you quickly get used to the no phone bills and no telemarketing calls which are two awesome advantages of being landline free. Some disadvantages come along with being landline free as well, like dead spots in the house and your phone going dead and turning off in the middle of a call. I am hoping the new #GoodCall Bluetooth Handset will help solve some of these problems, which would make my hubby very happy on Father’s Day!
The Good Call was delivered right to my front door. Very easy. Next, I opened it and read the simple directions to set-up and pair the device to my iPhone. I decided I need to check it out before the kids gave it to Dad. Included was a user manual, as well as a quick start card with simple directions.
I started by plugging in the device and “juicing it up.” The unit does come partially charged and useable straight from the box.
Next, I followed the directions for pairing the iPhone. It was so simple to do. You just turn the switch to ON, hold the call button for three seconds, go to the general setting on your iPhone and connect the Bluetooth to GoodCall. Once you choose that it pairs and you’re ready to make your calls.
I called my parents to see if they could hear me. They usually complain when I’m talking to them that I am dropping out, or sometimes I will even drop the call completely and lose them. With this Good Call device, I made sure to dock it where we had strong reception, and then I walked around as usual with the phone handset and talked. I went to the basement, I stepped outside, and I went to the usual places in the house where I lose them (like my laundry room). I am very excited to report that I never lost them with this new phone, and when I asked them how I sounded they said, “We can hear you crystal clear!”
This iG1 Good Call Bluetooth Handset is truly going to change our lives. My husband and I both get so nervous when we are on an “important call” because we are worried the call will drop or people can’t hear us. This will definitely make our lives easier. I don’t know how many times I’ve been on hold with a company and then the call cuts out after I’ve waited a long time to speak with someone. Then I have to start the call over. This is going to be GREAT!! Thank you Good Call! You are the answer we’ve been looking for. Now we get the best of both worlds; no landline bills, yet we can now live again like we have a landline.
I have not given this to my husband yet, but he will love this light but quality made handset that can take calls, make calls, and even work with Siri (for the iPhone 4S). Plus, since it’s new and not even on the market yet I know he doesn’t have it and won’t even have heard of it! It’s hard to find a tech savvy Dad something he doesn’t have. He’s got every Mac, iPad, iPhone, iPod gadget in the world, and now he will have something new and something that will be of great use for him. I will also feel a little safer now for us both since solely using a cell phone is probably not that great for you.
The launch of this product is June 19th on their site www.goodcallbro.com for $80! Not a bad price for what this device can do! You can visit them on YouTube as well at: http://www.youtube.com/goodcallbro
