The Westin Boston Waterfront in Boston, MA ~ Hotel Review

There is Just One Word to Describe This Hotel
~ That Word Would Be AMAZING!!! ~
The Westin Boston Waterfront in Boston, MA

As you know, I just returned from my trip to Boston where I stayed for the weekend for the Springboard Blogging Conference. The hotel selected for this fabulous conference was the Westin Boston Waterfront since it was adjacent to the Boston Conference and Exhibition Center; you don’t even need to leave the hotel and conference center the entire trip if you don’t want to! How convenient is that?

My first impression walking into the hotel was that of utter surprise. I knew it would be nice, but it was absolutely amazing! I’ve never been in a hotel so fancy before, and actually being able to spend two nights there was going to be heaven. I walked up to the front desk area where I was greeted very promptly and politely. The one thing I can say about my stay here for the entire trip was that everyone I spoke with called me by my name, which was such a personalized experience and it started right at check-in! I was shown where my room would be, and I was lucky enough to get on the 16th floor where the views of Boston were awesome!

I took the elevator up to the 16th floor, and one of the nice things about this hotel is the fact there are multiple elevators that are super fast! Sometimes being on the top floor can be a pain if there is only one elevator because you have to stop for so many people. I can tell you honestly I may have only had the elevator stop twice my entire stay there. It was amazing! Great planning I would say!

Now, getting to the room ~ WOW! I loved my room! It was so clean, smelled great, had everything I could need, and was very posh. Definitely not what I am accustomed to staying in. I looked around and found absolutely no flaws; nothing that looked old or worn. It was fabulous. And like I mentioned before, the view was fantastic! Also, it was hard to leave the room because I wanted to sleep in that comfy bed all day! It’s actually called the Heavenly Bed®, and it truly is!

 The View From My Room!!!
Some other things I loved about the room were:
  • The Alarm Clock that was Compatible with my iPhone/iPod
  • The Easy to Order Breakfast
  • The Nice Desk Area
  • The Microwave & Refrigerator
  • The Nice and Clean Bathtub
Since I was in the conference and doing conference related activities all weekend, I unfortunately did not have a chance to use the hotel’s amenities. I did however walk around and check everything out. And since we are planning a family trip back to this hotel for Christmas time, I will eventually be able to use them all. The workout room (WestinWORKOUT®) and swimming pool area were beautiful! I really wish I had the time to use them. It reminded me of an upscale health spa, including a hot tub. It just seemed like such a serene and invigorating place to workout and relax.

Also, if you’re in town for business and don’t want to pack bulky workout shoes and clothes, the Westin has partnered with New Balance to create a new fitness program called RunWESTIN TM. The staff at the front desk says there are even scheduled runs around town, and don’t worry the clothes are cleaned properly and the shoes have disposable insoles that are replaced each time. I love that the Westin focuses on health and fitness for a strong mind and body.

The one thing I was able to do was to hang out in the lobby area to do work and to have some drinks with my friends. The lobby has free wi-fi, and the hotel has a restaurant and two bars right by the lobby. It’s just such a nice space to be able to relax in. There is also a Starbucks right in the lobby area, as well as an awesome gift shop and business center (with computers, office supply store, FedEx area, and a section to purchase new luggage). Everything you need to a relaxing stay is right there!

When I asked at checkout if there were any special things I missed to include in my review, the woman at the front desk told me about “The Hive” ~ a room people can rent out by the hour for family time or some informal meetings. She took me there to show me and the room was great! It had computers, screen projection connections, video games, board games, tables, couches, and it comes stocked with food and drinks. How awesome is that? I could definitely see it as a space that people can use for a fun meeting or just to “get away” a bit. It’s $50 for the hour.

So whether you’re in Boston on business or for a family getaway, I would highly recommend this hotel. It has such personalized service, and the hotel has everything you’ll need for a comfortable stay. I had no issues while staying there and would rate it a 5 out of 5 every time! Did I mention they give your dogs treats and your kids toys and goodies from the treat wagon at the check-in counter? Yes, it’s that personalized! They are pet-friendly and accept dogs up to 75 pounds.

  1. What a fun pampering experience for you! All moms need a little time off occasionally and you really outdid yourself! Very nice! Loved the view – that would be my favorite part!

  2. Wow.. Looks like a great place to stay.

    Great view too.

  3. They have dog treats??? Oh man! I love this place already! And I am like you, I really hate when I stay somewhere and it has elevator{s} that are super slow. We stayed at a place like that recently. Ugh. There were long elevator lines and unattended kids kept passing. It makes you think about losing your religion for a few minutes. 😉

  22. What a cool hotel. I love the double shower heads (I have a double and am so used to it that a single just does not seem powerful enough). I also really liked that they allow dogs and give treats to them and toys to small children. I also really like the refrigerator and microwave in the rooms. Very handy.
