Some of the cool things we got from Target include: crafting materials, sports equipment, and items to set-up a lemonade stand on the corner. My daughter loves to be creative, so she used some colorful Duct tape to create a purse for her and a sword for her brother. She also loved the “create-your-own” board book kit! She made a summertime book about going to the beach for her brother to try and read. I love how creative she is and how she is using her mind to keep up her educational skills during the summer. It’s great when kids are still learning and having fun at the same time.
My son loves playing with the sports equipment from Target. He’s been practicing his golf skills and badminton in the front yard and having a blast! He loves to be outside during the summer.
My daughter’s favorite thing so far has been her lemonade stand she set up on our corner during our yard sale last weekend. She planned it out, created her signs, made the lemonade, and used her math skills while giving change to people. I loved that she was so confident and spoke with whoever came along. She earned almost $20 and sold all her lemonade! We went to Target afterwards and she bought a stuffed animal with some the money she earned and she saved the rest. It’s great how she is learning to become responsible and managing her money. She also does chores and we use the Tykoon online resource to organize her schedule.
Next week we are going to the beach again, and we will be taking our badminton set to play with. So whatever your needs are, toys for the yard or the beach, you can find them at your nearest Target store.
