Little Luna: Big Talent is a charming new app that is sure to delight with its whimsical illustrations (by the talented Max Fiedler) and charismatic characters. It tells the story of Luna, a Bombardier Beetle, and her family. Luna is a master at shadow puppets, while her parents and brother are expert…. tooters? Just like real Bombardier Beetles, they can “toot” along to music or to shoot targets.

Little Luna: Big Talent offers five playable stages with tons of fun hidden animations and silly sound effects to search for. In each level you’ll find interactive mini-games and quests to complete. All the games have three difficulty levels, ranging from very easy to challenging for an older child. I won’t give away any secrets, but my favorite game is guessing shadow puppets with Luna.

The app is also totally kid-friendly, so you won’t have to worry about in-game purchases or accidental language changes. To access parental controls, swipe the ladybug in the top right corner. This will open the “Adult’s Only” zone, which can only be accessed by answering a math question (ex: 36+84, etc.). You can even set a time limit for the game, so kids won’t be glued to the screen for too long.
