This post is part of the HEALTHY ESSENTIALS® 2014 program by Johnson & Johnson Consumer Companies, Inc. and The Motherhood, who sent me a box of products and compensated me for my time. Opinions, experiences and photos shared here are all my own, and I hope you enjoy them.
Every summer we rent a beach house with our extended family in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. It’s a fun time for the cousins to get together for the 4th of July holiday, play in the pool, and go to the beach and boardwalk. We stay for the entire week, and it’s a blast! There are eight adults and seven kids in the group, and inevitably someone gets a boo-boo. Whether it be a small burn from the sparklers on the 4th of July or a cut at the pool, we always need Band-Aids and first aid supplies on hand. Our HEALTHY ESSENTIALS® in our first aid kit include Tough Strips Band-Aids and Neosporin which are must haves for any active summer vacation. When you get hurt, you need the best products to heal and heal healthy. No one wants bad bacteria in their system.
Some other travel essentials for us include; Listerine for a healthy mouth, Neutrogena sunscreen for the adults and kids, fabulous Neutrogena waterproof mascara for beach and pool fun, and finally Splenda for our morning poolside coffee. Having our essentials with us makes for a better and healthier vacation. We are very vigilant about protecting our skin from the sun. We protect ourselves and our kids from nasty burns and lifelong repercussions from overexposure to the sun. We love going on strolls on the boardwalk, but with the bright sun and 95 degree temps we need to protect our skin.
I’m not kidding when I tell you that I absolutely love the Neutrogena Waterproof Mascara! It works awesome, even when having a day at the pool or beach. Your eyelashes look thick, dark, long, and beautiful all day long. Definitely an essential in my summertime make-up bag when I travel, or even just at home.
And you can’t have a great day at the beach without a nice cup of coffee in the morning to start your day. I love having my coffee poolside in the nice morning sun before heading out to the beach. It’s still cool enough out in the mornings, and it’s quiet before all the kids come out to play. Splenda is a great way to sweeten your coffee without all the calories. Each packet sweetens like two teaspoons of sugar and tastes like sugar too! Yum! The no calorie sweetener is the way to go!

What a great travel healthy post. We always travel with Band-aids and Neosporin. Would not be summer without these essentials.Thank you for sharing.
What a neat idea to use a cup with sparklers. We use that sunblock all the time! I don’t know what I’d do without it, it’s so easy to apply.
With 2 little boys in the house, Neosporin and Band-Aids top my list of essentials.
Oh yes with 5 kids we are definite users of the Band Aids and Neosporin.
I love Healthy Essentials products. They really make summers safe ! What a nice pool you have!!
Wet Skin sunscreen is our favorite! My kids always break out after using sunscreen, but not with this kind!
That sunscreen is the best ever, it works so well and I love how it sprays! Also, I need to buy more bandaids, thanks for the reminder!
You’ve got to be prepared when you take trips, and this collection has pretty much everything you’d need in a pinch.
I’ve got kids, so I’ve got to be prepared wherever I go. I can say from experience that this collection has pretty much everything you’d need in a pinch.
Great tips! And why have I never thought of putting my sparklers in a cup!
I use most of these products whether we are traveling or at home. I really depend on Neosporin and Band Aids. I make things easy on myself by having the products packed in my diaper bag at all times and then having them in my medicine chest, too.
I love those summer essentials! I seriously need to restock up on the Tough Strips Band-Aids! Especially with us going camping soon!
Band-aids are the only brand of bandage I trust. My kids can rip off cheaper bandages in a few seconds.
Waterproof mascara is definitely my “can’t leave behind”. Nothing worse than raccoon eyes in all the vacation pics!
I always bring neosporin and bandaids when we travel. We have needed them too many time and at the most inopportune time…
I love the Healthy Essentials lines. We keep Neosporin and sunscreen in my purse because summer is teh season of sun play and scrapes LOL
All great essentials to have for traveling! I haven’t tried out the Neutrogena Waterproof Mascara yet though. Will have to pick some up!
I love the Neutrogena brand and I really want to try that mascara! I also tend to go through lots of Band-Aids and Neosporin in the summer months too. They are definitely must-haves!
I don’t go anywhere without my Neosporin. It’s like magic, I swear! I always have bandages with me too…you never know.
These are absolute musts with the littles in our house!
It’s our favorite sunscreen! Great tips for being on the go this summer. It’s important to stay prepared and have fun!
Great tips for what to bring. Got to try that mascara.
