I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Air Wick. I received product samples to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.
The Air Wick® National Park Series helps bring the scents of the National Parks to life in your own homes. They come in a variety of styles; scented oils, scented candles, reef diffusers, and freshmatic sprays. My favorite so far is the scented oils. They are easy to assemble, and then you just plug them in the wall and the scent takes the room to a whole new place. What I love most about these is the fact they really take me back to my childhood.
Growing up we were the ultimate Griswold family. We had the Oldsmobile Station Wagon, and we called it the “war wagon” because it really was like driving a tank. We would load that wagon up, turtle top and all, and head across country. Two adults, three kids, and hours of fun times in the wagon. Some days we would push 12 hour days too. I grew up in Northern Virginia outside of Washington, DC, so to drive west meant a far drive. I have many fond memories of our travels. We would visit theme parks, quaint towns, Native American villages, and of course National Parks. My two favorite National Parks were Mesa Verde and the Grand Canyon. I remember in Mesa Verde crawling in and out of the cliff dwellings, and at the Grand Canyon taking in the amazing views. The sights, sounds, and smells of these places are forever ingrained in my memory.
Plugging in the Air Wick® Grand Canyon scented oil not only made the room come alive, but it also brought me back to my childhood days and the many trips across the country. I can sit there, close my eyes, and imagine the gorgeous views, peaceful sounds, and feeling of being carefree. This limited edition collection was crafted by fragrance experts who spend countless hours creating the perfect harmony of fragrance notes representative of the natural elements found in these national parks and pays homage to the brand’s “The Craft of Fragrance” creative platform. That is why the fragrances are so true to the parks they represent.
The National Park scents I’ve tried so far include; The Grand Canyon, The American Samoa, Hawai’i, and Denali. They also have the Virgin Island and Gulf Islands available in scents as well. The candle is another great way to try out the scents. The full range of products, available in stores now, retails from $2.99 – $5.99 and includes scented candles, freshmatic auto spray refills, scented oils and reed diffusers.
Here are some scent descriptions so you can see how each is special to the park it represents:
Grand Canyon — be awestruck by the breathtaking majesty of the Grand Canyon then discover the subtle floral notes of delicate cactus blossoms carried on the warm summer breeze.
Virgin Islands — find yourself in the idyllic paradise of Virgin Islands National Park and uncover the delightful notes of tropical plumeria & sweet honeysuckle.
Gulf Islands — bask in the fragrant scents that take you to the Gulf Islands, rich in white sand beaches and seashores that evoke sun-drenched sweet notes of a tropical paradise.
American Samoa — explore the lush paradise of American Samoa National Park to finally reach the sweet refreshing notes of native coconut & island palms.
Denali — seek renewal in the sun-drenched valleys of Denali National Park while breathing in the clean notes of pure cotton grass & fresh spring air.
Hawai’i — escape to a tropical island sunset in Hawai’i Kaloko – Honokohau National Historical Park and savor the unspoiled notes of exotic papaya and hibiscus flower.

How fun! We also had a station wagon and road tripped. One year we drove out to Santa Fe, New Mexico and Carlsbad Caverns, even from Arkansas it took FOREVER. But it planted a love for road trips in me. My kids have road tripped from RI to Arkansas, Tennessee, Virginia (twice), and flown to Texas. They have the wanderlust just as much as I do. 🙂
You just reminded me of Hot Springs, AR!~ So beautiful in that part of the country!
I can’t wait to try these. We were just at the Grand Canyon and the flowers there were gorgeous and had such a nice fragrance. Even my husband noticed it! I think I’ll try that one first! Thanks! I had no idea they had come out with these fragrances. How fun!

How fun! I want to come over and have a sniff 😉 Love the pics btw! Your fam sounds like you guys did some great trips!
We had a station wagon, a pull behind pop up camper, the cartop carrier and of course 5 bikes on a homemade bike rack on top of the camper! We even had hot breakfast while traveling through New Mexico – pop tarts warmed on the hot hood of the car! Love those memories! Can’t quite imagine how Air Wick has captured the smell of the national parks, but sure would to try them out!
THAT IS SO AWESOME!!!! What a great idea for a line of scents!
Yay! As a park ranger I must say I love this post – and the old pics of your trips!
