One of my all time favorite movies is The Ten Commandments, and now I have another religious film to add to my list; The Bible. This series is amazing! It shows everything throughout the old and new testaments; starting with creation. I love how it teaches the stories and how they run together. There are some portions that are a bit violent though, so this series is definitely not for young kids.

THE BIBLE is an epic 10-hour television series produced by Roma Downey (Touched By an Angel) and Mark Burnett (The Voice, Survivor, Shark Tank, Celebrity Apprentice) which premiered on 3/3/13 on History Channel, and Blu-ray and DVD most recently. Downey plays Mother Mary and Emmy-winner Keith David provides voice-overs throughout. Oscar- and Grammy-award winning composer Hans Zimmer created the musical score to the iconic saga.

Definitely too violent for my young kids, but very well done!

I have this series on Blu-Ray as well. I thought it was a great series, and I am so glad they created it. Great reminder of what happened and why we are here. We should be so thankful each day for what we have.
For people that learn better visually I can see why this would be a great option.
