Hello everyone!!! Hope you’re having a happy weekend!!!! I am here sitting in a recliner at La-Z-Boy to raise money for a friend who has a very young daughter that was recently diagnosed with Leukemia. We are here for 48-hours around the clock with our group Rhody Bloggers for Good, and we are hoping to raise money to help with their medical bills. It’s so nice doing something kind for others.     I had a lady in front of me in the store who had used a gift card already and it left her with a balance of 4 dollars and some change which she didn’t have, it was food for her and her kids. They had already ran the gift card through so they couldn’t remove anything and if they canceled the order it would take 2-3 days for it to appear back on her visa gift card so she couldn’t get groceries. I gave her the 4 dollars and change and she started to cry. I love people.

    Today my daughter and I got out her big barbie house and some barbies and took them to another little girl who isn’t as lucky as she to have so much. We made some room, learned a lesson and made someone very happy.

    I try to do a little act of kindness everyday, whether a stranger or my best friends, even a smile can change a strangers day 🙂 so I smile often at everyone just to make them smile and know that it isn’t all bad 😉 my kindness act for comment would be when I took my boyfriends mothers husband to his surgery appt at 8:30 because he wasn’t able to drive 🙂 thanks for the chance to win!

    I try to do a little everyday. But this week I drove a neighbor to get her last paycheck, she desperately needed the money & had no way to get there. Then brought her to the grocery store to get food for her & her kids.

    Our grandson loves to wear sports uniforms when he watches a game. I mad a Kevin Ware jersey for him to wear yesterday during the Final Four. Louisville won, so I guess the good luck worked 🙂 I’m sure he’ll be wearing it again Monday night!

    Well, I tried to put a smile on the face of one of my 1st grade son’s classmates…she came in upset on picture day, and I told her I needed her to help make sure my son smiled for the photographer. I got a little smile and giggle out of her…I hope it lasted awhile to make her feel a little better.

    I found $5 at my work on the floor. I asked around and no one claimed it so I decided to put it in the church offering basket at church. I am a struggling college student and I just felt that the money was not mine.

  57. I work at Freebirds which is a burrito place that most of the US doesn’t have YET!! But within our corporation we have a group called World Works, I am the local ambassador for our world work program, ever year we raise money, gifts and take donations to give to a military family that either lost the mom or dad or that have a injured unable to work mom or dad, we make sure to give them a Christmas!! I have also done school supply drives every year for our local children’s home (for kids who don’t have moms or dads) I hold blood drives, pet adoptions, any kind of supply drive, we donated dinner date for 10 couples at a local high school for a prom date for kids that cannot afford prom, we donated lunch to two of our local fire stations on 9/11 and much much more, I help come up with ideas and then follow out the execution and running any events we do, I do not get paid extra to do this, and use my own gas to go around gathering donations, or promoting with flyers for any upcoming events. I love doing this and even if I do not stay with the company have told my boss I still would like to participate in the World Works program!! So just putting one way I have helped someone recently is hard, I have held 5 events do far this year and have two events planned for the end of the month wit our local no kill shelter and a blood drive!!

    Whenever I see someone who looks so lonely in a crowded place, I always start a conversation with them so they don’t feel too lonely. Most of them are old folks. They remind me of my grandparents and I love them dearly. Their smiles when they know that somebody cares always melt my heart.

  91. I have been helping my oldest son since he was diagnosed with Systemic Lupus. It is mainly an autoimmune disease that affect many organs of the body and especially the skin. I have been giving money to them, as well as my love, and spend a lot of time with him since he cannot work.. He has had several trips to the hospital and it has been very hard

    We collect winter gentley used winter items and gather donations of new toys because every chistmas adopt families from the womens selter here in middletown. I try my best to show my kids how important it is to give back even as we live in assisted living housing… ty

    my mother in law has been sick lately and ive been helping her clean her house take her to the doctiors also took her out to get her something good to eat she hasnt been eating well or anything at all she had lost 20 pounds in a month so i wanted to do that also give her a birthday party i usually do this every year
