JT’s “The 20/20 Experience” Album has Dropped!

Justin Timberlake’s new CD, The 20/20 Experience just dropped this Tuesday (3/19)!! And yes, I admit to having had a slight obsession with JT since I saw him live in concert about 6 years ago here in DC. It wasn’t only a concert, it was really an experience.  We had amazing seats looking directly at the stage from above, and although my husband is really into more classic bands like U2 and Snow Patrol, he couldn’t stop talking about how amazing the show was.  I think I even saw him start to dance at one point, and that’s a huge moment for him 🙂

What makes him so awesome? Well, not only is he an amazing singer, but he can dance his a*s off, he can play the piano, he’s an accomplished actor, he’s a natural comedian, and well, he’s not too hard on the eyes either.

So when I heard that he was working on a new album, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. This day and age, when digital downloads and iTunes are all the rage, not too  many of us actually buy CD’s anymore, BUT, I had to make an exception this time. It’s been 8 long years since he released FutureSex/LoveSounds, which is again one of the best albums I’ve heard. During that time I have seen Justin in various films (if you haven’t seen Alpha Dog, Friends with Benefits or Social Network, you need to), various HILARIOUS appearances on Saturday Night Live, and of course followed his love life in trashy magazines. By the way, congrats Justin and Jessica!

As I walked through the store, it felt strange to be buying an “album,” especially since I haven’t been interested in buying one for many years, but when I took that little sucker out of the case, I remembered why it was so fun to have CDs! Being able to hold it in your hands, and slide it into the CD player, and then scrolling through the songs… it feels good. On the way home from my shopping trip, I definitely had the windows down …  and yes it was like 38 degrees here in DC in March. So far my favorite tracks are Mirrors and Suit and Tie.  Something about Justin’s music just makes you want to dance. And as a mom of 3 little girls, sometimes we just wanna music to dance to!

So, it’s official, Justin is BACK! Go get your copy of The 20/20 Experience at WalMart for just $7 this week ONLY (March 19th – March 24th). That’s a crazy deal. Hurry and get it! You wont regret it, and if you’re not already a fan, after you listen to this album, you definitely will be.   His tour begins this Summer, August 8th, M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, here I come.
