We all know how important reading is for our children! There are so many great books to get for kids and also educational reading tools as well! I was lucky to get my hands on two LeapPad Tablets, apparently a very hot ticket item this year. I heard about 48 hours after I bought mine on Amazon that they were SOLD OUT everywhere!!! I love that the books on the tablet can switch reading levels as the child progresses, and that kids can manipulate the pages by flipping pages with their fingers like real books! They seem VERY cool!!! Also love the built in camera!!! My kids are going to LOVE it! If you see one around and you were considering it for a gift, then you might want to pick it up!! Kicking myself now for not getting the cases which are now also in high demand and hard to get!
Adam got one a few weeks ago through a blog tour and while he loved it at first, it now collects dust, lol! He is just soo used to my iPad and iPhone and the Leap Pad isn’t similar enough to hold his interest. I hope your kids love it!
I don’t really want a leap pad for my little ones. I like their scribble and write much better. I bought boat loads of books at yard-sales and will be posting about them. They are going to be our big thing. Educational toys! And two bikes.
I agree with Becca, my kids are so used to the touch screen computer and my droid that they would rather play with them than the Leap Tablet .I think my boys are going to love the remote control robots we got them 🙂
I’m getting Mason a variety of things but the thing I’m really excited to get him is the Kid Tough See Yourself Camera:

WE LOVE our leap pad! We use it all the time!
We are getting our son a bike and some train/cars stuff to go along with his books. I thought about the tablet but it was a little pricey for a two year old to me and we have a nook color he loves!
I don’t even know what I’m getting Madilyn for Christmas. Styles is getting games, a Nook, and some clothes. He LOVES to read and I hate going to the library with the babies so I’d love to have the convenience of the Nook and my public library’s eBook system.
Madilyn is finally getting into reading (Thank GOD) but she’s only 2 so the LeapPad wouldn’t be right for her quite yet. I guess since Christmas is creepin’ I better start figuring her gift out.
*sigh*
Wow, I can’t believe these sold out so fast, but at the same time I can because they are so awesome!
