KangaKid by Deuter ~ Review and Giveaway

Carry Your Child in Style
~ KangaKid by Deuter ~
My husband has been completely obsessed with Deuter brand backpacks and products for a while now. When we traveled to Ireland for our 10-year wedding anniversary he insisted we have these. Deuter are pure quality backpacks and have space for everything you need. They are also designed to support your back for carrying heavier loads. My husband says if he ever gets on The Amazing Race this backpack will be the only thing he needs for a month.
Well, I have found the coolest thing yet! It’s a cross between a backpack and child carrier. How cool is that? Deuter makes a kid carrier called the KangaKid. You can carry your child (up to 33 lbs.) on your back with also having room to carry your belongings in the backpack part. It is simply AWESOME! It’s for a baby that can sit up on their own up to a toddler aged child. There is even a sunshade (optional) to protect the child when used outdoors.

I love this fabulously constructed bag/carrier. Truly a backpack with a built-in child carrier. There are so many pockets to store items. I also love that the straps and clips are sturdy for a secure hold, and the padded back and waist strap for parents add extra comfort and support while carrying their child. This is one bag/carrier perfect for travel, hiking, family activities, etc.

Thank you to my friend Stephanie from Stephanie’s Mommy Brain for helping me to model this great child carrier! The comfort of this carrier is truly amazing, and this was tested with a child at the top of the weight scale for this product. I also love that you can zipper up the carrier part and use it as a regular backpack as well. You can keep the carrier part in a secret hidden section. Just think of how nice that is for travel. No bulky carrier to haul on the plane, just a nice size backpack!  Oh, and it comes with the cute little bear too!

It’s also so wonderful for the outdoors! It makes those hikes with the little ones so much easier. The carrier retails for $159 on the Deuter site. In my opinion that is a great price for the quality and convenience you get for this carrier. It will be your go-to carrier for all your kids. So, if you travel, hike, or even just go for walks around the neighborhood or to family fun events, then this is the carrier for you! Also, make sure to check out all the other bags, hiking goods, and sleeping bags on the Deuter website.

Make sure to follow Deuter on Facebook and Twitter as well.

I could soo use this, I am a busy busy mom with 4 boys.. the younger ones are 1yr,3yr autistic, 4yr old… so I am always afraid to take them out and about by myself as that is alot of little hands and feet to watch.. I think this would make my life so much easier (at least for a short while) If I had one of these to put the 1yr old in so I can focus a little more on the 3yr and 4yr old in public.

  17. I would give this to my niece. She is getting ready to have her first child end of this month or the beginning of next. This would be great for when Serenity got older.

  18. I think my son would love to be able to come along when we go out to tend the animals! He loves being outside, but we are working on the farm, we can’t keep an eye on him, so usually someone has to just stay with him, and less work gets done.
    This may be the lifesaver!

  19. i wold use this with my two year old so we could go on vacation~!

  21. I think I would give it to one of my daycare parents. She just started 4 years of Med School and could use one that will be safe on her back since she will have all those heavy books. She also has a very light 3 year old who is tiny and she could use it for Sierra.

  47. I would use this for my almost-2.5-yr-old. He likes to hike with us but gets tired and wants to be carried. However, he HATES the Ergo at this point! So we have to carry him in our arms–not ideal!! This carrier would make our next year of hiking so much easier.

  48. I love that backpack! I am in need of one since Jade my 3 year old is now far too big for her front carrier. We still go camping every year and go on hikes.
