Equal Exchange Chocolate Bars ~ Simply Delicious!

A Better Candy for You
~ Equal Exchange Products: Fair Trade Just Got Sweeter~
It’s that time of the year when we are surrounded by candy. For Halloween you buy tons of candy to pass out and your kids collect tons of candy while trick-or-treating. Most of the candy is not very healthy, but in moderation most is okay. The problem is many people overindulge because there’s just so much of it!
I was lucky enough to try some candy from Equal Exchange that my kids and I loved! It tastes wonderful, and the best part is that it’s made from all organic ingredients. Wow! Healthier candy! Imagine that! It also tastes as good if not better than other chocolates. The organic and fairly traded candy bars are grown by small farmers in co-ops in Peru and Paraguay.

I got to try out the Milk Chocolate Crisp, the Milk Chocolate Peanut Butter, and the Dark Chocolate Fruit & Nut! It was funny because everyone in the family loved it! We all had our favorites that were different. My husband and I loved the Dark Chocolate Fruit & Nut bar with its salty almonds and plump raisins. It was delicious! My son loved the Milk Chocolate Peanut Butter bar with the creamy peanut inside, and my daughter loved the Milk Chocolate Crisp made with healthy puffed rice and quinoa. Okay, I’m not going to lie, I really like all of them!

I’d also love to tell you about a fun Facebook app that Equal Exchange just launched. It’s a playful game where you get to grow your own cacao pods, win candy bars, and learn about the cacao harvesting process along the way–great for kids and parents! You can see the game here: http://on.fb.me/WkzY7S ~ Go play now for your chance to WIN the grand prize, and just for playing you’ll get a 30% off coupon for your purchase of 24 bars on their site!

I can tell you I am purchasing more of these. I would rather have this healthier candy around the house than the alternative. I think what I’ll do is trade my kids on Halloween night and give them these candy bars in exchange from what they’ve collected trick-or-treating. We can donated the collected candy to the troops or another cause!

Check out Equal Exchange today and their Facebook App! I know I’ll be handing out these great Halloween size Equal Exchange Minis at my house! I feel better handing out healthier candy! Have a great Halloween! Remember, always eat your treats in moderation and eat healthier when options are available! Visit Equal Exchange on Facebook and Twitter.
