Nutrisystem Week 24: Good Beginning, Bad Ending

The Twenty-fourth Week……… 

~ It Started Out Fine, But Then I Went to a Conference ~


I’ve just finished my twenty-fourth week on the program, and I started out great this week with Nutrisystem, but then it ended poorly. I did a great job at the beginning with eating my Nutrisystem meals, no bad snacking, I got to the gym once, I drank water, and I was down one and a half pounds by Thursday. Yes, that was all great. Then on Friday I left for a blogging conference in Boston for the weekend. The Springboard Conference was fabulous, but I didn’t have any non-frozen foods left to pack with me so I ate what was there. It’s so hard eating out, and I know I could have done better as well (like only eat half my food). Well, by the end of the weekend I ended up gaining back the one and a half pounds I had worked so hard to take off earlier in the week. How can you gain it back so quickly? It stinks! I guess it’s a good thing that I did well at the beginning of the week though, because otherwise I would have surely gained weight instead of maintaining this week. I am back to my goals for this week (because I know these work):


1. Back into the gym! (realistic goal=2 or 3 times)
2. Make sure I don’t snack too often (drink a shake to hold me over instead or make healthier snacking choices)
3. Record what I am eating (this is HUGE for weight loss success!!)
4. And of course…DRINK MORE WATER!

Starting Weight: 165
Current Weight: 154 (stayed the same)
Total Loss: 11 pounds!!!

  5. So glad you didn’t gain! That’s always frustrating! I made success in eating better, not as good as I’d like, I had a few emotional eating moments. 🙁 that’s what I’m really trying to cut out.

  21. Great job maintaining! It’s very hard to keep track on the road. I need to write down my goals like you do. I’m sure that it would help. I’m trying to do better with my snacking. Eating late is night is my weakness!
