We Love Football and We Love Parties!
~ Creating Kiddie Goodie Bags for our Patriots Party ~
It’s that time of the year again where the Crock Pot smells are filling the house, jackets are pulled out of the closets, and football is on ALL weekend long (and I mean five-day weekends)! We are HUGE football fans in our house, and it all starts on Thursday nights with NCAA College Football and continues through NFL Monday Night Football! The fall is certainly a great time of the year. In fact, on the first Game Day you can usually find my hubby singing aloud in the house, “It’s the most wonderful time of the year!”
As we’ve moved five times in the past twelve years, we have many teams we root for. The last four years we’ve been living in New England, so we of course cheer for the Patriots! Football is huge here in New England! The streets are literally empty on game days. People are either watching the game somewhere, or at home on their couches with the game on. Football is serious business.
This year my hubby and I are in a small fun fantasy league with our neighborhood friends. This makes watching every game even more entertaining! I also love that we all have young kids and we are going to try and get together for a few games as well. We were looking to get together this past weekend, but with it being a holiday weekend it was too difficult. I’m sure we’ll be partying soon for an upcoming Patriots game! My kids and I thought it would be fun to make some goodies bags for the kids for the football party; one for each family.
I went to Walmart to look around, and I found the cutest MascotWear loofahs in the bath section. They are little Patriots football player loofahs! My kids ended up LOVING them! I decided since the loofahs were a great fit for our goodie bags, that a bath theme would be the way to go. Plus, these are only $3.47 for such a great gift!
I found a bunch of other awesome kid-friendly bath items for our football party goodie bags as well. I got the bath foam in the can (which is my daughter’s favorite), some bath body paint, dino fizz eggs, and bath squirters to go along with the cool MascotWear loofahs. I also got red and blue goodie bags (Patriots colors of course)! I think the kids will love them.
My kids were psyched when I got home with the goodie bag items! Of course they were hoping we could have the party today since the Patriots were playing, but since we will have to wait another week or so to party with our friends, we decided we could at least make the party bags together as we watched the Patriots play today. It ended up being a super close game (came down to a field goal which the Patriots missed, so that’s all we are going to say about that).
Making the bags with the kids was a blast though! They love to help me organize things and to plan parties. I’m sure I’m going to be hearing about it each day until we finally get together with our friends. It was funny because my daughter totally loved the MascotWear loofahs! She thought they were so cute! The kids were a big help getting the bags ready!
As you can see the kids are ready to party! If you are in the shop for some cute party bags for kids, then a bath theme seems to be something the kids will like and be useful as well. These goodie bags are great for football parties, or even birthday parties too! I’m sure if my kids were having a birthday this season then a football theme would definitely be a consideration. Oh my goodness!! What fun! I never thought about making goody bags of bath stuff. It’s brilliant. And those are the cutest loofahs ever. I’m going to have to go find some now, but they’re not going to be Patriots in this part of the country! (Cowboys all the way in this house, else you could get kicked out!) 🙂

Wow so much fun! I love the loofahs! Don’t you just love the fall for all these fun activities you can do with kids and family!?! Here in Canada the football season started back in June and finishes in November… We are bigger fans of hockey though… and just our luck, they’re in lockout now! 🙁
