When I got home with the skateboard the kids were psyched! I told them we could go outside together and explore what the skateboard could do. We also talked about being “safe”with the skateboard and how it took a lot of practice to do what the neighbor kids do across the street. First my daughter practiced a little on the skateboard inside, and then they both grabbed their helmets and we went outside for some family skateboarding time! I didn’t make them wear their knee pads and elbow pads since we were just playing around with the board on the driveway, but I explained to them how they are necessary items to wear if you are skateboarding more seriously and especially without help.

How fun….lucky kids. How’d you do!!! Took my son next door and he jumped on their trampoline (first time). He’s not even 3, but he knew what to do. Love outdoors…especially this time of year!!

What fun! My kids have a scooter and do pretty good on that, so maybe it’s time to move to the skateboard. I didn’t realize you could get such a variety of skateboards at Walmart!

All my kids have been skateboarders. Luckily we have had no injuries in that many years. We started them out with Walmart boards too I think and then when they were teens they graduated to a much more technical boards, now, they all longboard
I didn’t know he had a line, but that makes sense. I should think they’d be pretty darn good too because he would be picky. He sure chose some fancy graphics on some of those!
my daughter likes to skate board, personally i never got into it living in the country trying to skate board on a dirt road just never really worked for me LOL

It looks like they had a ton of fun on it! I remember when I was a bit younger I loved skateboarding.. and actually I still have mine. Just can’t part with it XD
What a great family activity. My oldest son started learning to skateboard when he was 4. He saw it on tv and was hooked. He got pretty good then just quit. We have local parks that have ramps and other things just for skateboarding which is nice.
They are having so much fun. The thing I like is that Walmart carries these boards at an affordable price. Thanks for sharing!

I remember skate boarding with my cousins when we were kids. My kids dont have skateboards 🙁 there is no place for them to play with them around our house
Getting an actual skateboard outside is so much better than playing a video game! It’s looks like the whole family had so much fun.
my son wants a skateboard so bad but we don’t have any place for him to ride. Our road always has dirt and pebbles all over from the tractors and potato trucks driving by and I don’t want him in the road to begin with.
