Helping Your Kids to Succeed Academically!

Education Is So Important: Give Your Kids the Best Advantage Possible
You all know how important education is to me and my family. I am a former elementary and middle school teacher, and my husband is a professor. We strive to keep our kids interested in learning and continually bettering themselves through learning experiences. I’ve tried since the kids were little (age 2 and up) to provide learning experiences through daily activities (cooking, nature hikes, reading signs, etc.), as well as providing them with library time and opportunities to have interesting books. It’s also so important to model reading behaviors to kids as well, as they like to copy what mom and dad are doing! I wanted to share this fantastic infographic with you that gives great ideas to help your kids succeed. I would love to know what you do with your kids to help them become successful and interested in learning and bettering themselves.

  1. I love that you put volunteering in there. I have began to discuss the importance of this with my 7 year old and we have been talking about starting some projects.

  2. Super post !! Had to laugh at no 5 – switching off the tv, can just picture the horror on everyones face. I volunteered at my sons school for the reading practice, it was great to hear the younger ones try so hard x
