Nutrisystem Week 17 & 18: Away On Vacation!

The Seventeenth & Eighteenth Weeks………

Offline for A While, But Now I’m Back!

I’ve just started my nineteenth week on the program, and I was traveling the last couple of weeks. Nutrisystem is a wonderful program, and it has taught me to make healthier choices. For this trip I did not plan ahead, so I did not have food for the trip. I had to eat out for every meal, which definitely made it harder to be “dieting,” but I did make the healthiest choices I could while we were gone. We also did a lot of walking on our trip, so the exercise was a plus! I even worked out at the hotels at night, which saved me from gaining a ton.

As soon as I got home from my trip, a nice new box of Nutrisystem meals was delivered! I am now working hardcore to get off whatever I can before my 20-year reunion. We’ll see! I have 2 weeks! I will say that the scale does not reflect all the changes going on, because I feel stronger, healthier, and my clothes are fitting much better! Oh, and I wore a new bathing suit to the pool! Maybe I’ll be brave enough to share a picture of myself in a bathing suit one day soon.

PROGRESS SO FAR:
Starting Weight: 165
Current Weight: 157 (only a .2 gain after vacation)
Total Loss: 8.0 pounds!!!  (Almost to my Teddy Bear ~ PLEASE)!

Here’s to a NEW WEEK! Please leave me a COMMENT telling me what accomplishments you had this week in your journey to be healthy!

  26. You are doing great. Fads where you lose 10 lbs a week never last, but you are losing at a good steady slow pace so it should be easy to keep off.

  32. That’s wonderful. I want to try that so bad. I have to lose weight for my health and I think because I have to my willpower says nahhhhh or whatever or all I know is somebody needs to talk to my willpower dammit! 🙁

  33. WTG! keep in mind that muscle weighs more than fat, so if your clothes are looser and you are feeling healthier, that is the best measurement! I haven’t done well on my “vacation”; my mom stayed with me for a week and fed me well 🙁 back on the saddle tomorrow!

  34. Keep up the good work!!

  35. Congrats and good luck to you. It’s especially hard to stick to a diet when you’re on vacation – so great job!! Keep it up!

  44. It looks like you had a blast 🙂

  45. eating right on vacation is hard, way to go!

  46. It looks like you had a great time on vacation and you did an awesome job making healthier choices, which is really what this whole thing is about anyways. I’ve been making healthier choices too. I’ve cut out fast food, cut down on eating out altogether, and have started to walk more and clean more myself around the house. Now, if my health would just cooperate with me and get on board the healthy train, I would be all set. Keep it up and I know you look and feel like you want to for your high school reunion and the rest of your life!

  47. Congrats on making healthy choices while on vacation!!

  48. COngrats on what you have lost…keep working, you can do it.

    • Nice work on monitoring your vacation food choices and kudos for working out at night! Both tough to do while on vacation! Beautiful family pictures, as well!

  49. Hi.. Great progress for you.. Me and my boyfriend decided to eat healthier and have been successful so far by just cutting out some of the sweets and bad foods that we eat. so far doing ok.. Takes alot of getting used to though

  50. Congrats! Hope you reach your goal!

  51. Its so hard to eat healthy on vacation. Congrats on being able to. I’ve always just cheated a little on vacation and then walked extra. That’s so easy to do since our trips usually involve some kind if state forest hike or trip to civil war battle grounds that you walk to see.

  52. KEEP UP THE GOOD JOB…DOING GREAT

  53. congrats! love the pictures 🙂

  54. Congrats. This week we decided to try to eat more healthy vegetables so that it includes veggies that were not part of our meals, such as Lima beans, beets etc.

  55. Connie Bolick Lee says:

  58. Being on vacation and on a diet at the samr time is challenging! Making smart choices is key. You look great…keep up the good work!

  59. It is always herder when you are on vacation! Looks like you had a wonderful time though and that is all that matters! 🙂

  60. Congratulations! I’m blessed with being naturally skinny, so I can pretty much eat all I want lol but I don’t, even though I don’t gain weight, I still see that I eat as healthy as I can since I need to care of other things (like cholesterol levels) If I want to be healthy

  61. Congrats on doing so well on Nutrisystem while on vacation! It is so good to eat healthy and to lose weight! I bet you already feel better and have more energy!

  62. Good for you! Eating out and eating healthy are hard to do. I haven’t seen a lot of progress. Stress can make you gain or slow the weightloss process and I’m definitely stressing lately. I’m hoping once we move into our new home. I’ll be able to be more active and outside more and of course doing more around the house since we’ll be the owners!

  63. i definitely envy you right now! i’m not even on vacation and it’s so hard to make healthy choices. all i’m doing right now is drinking green tea every morning and every other day exercise but it’s difficult! congrats on your weight loss you look great!

  64. nice job. love the giveaways thanks 🙂 chelle glares geter

  69. angela dupree says:

I give you a A+ I would of ate everything that wasn’t healthy on my vacation.

  70. Even though there was a wee bit of gain, I think you can definitely chalk your vacation up as a epic success! Not a lot of people would have the control and drive you did, so that says a lot 🙂

Congratulations on your total weight loss!

  71. I think you are doing great. I tried Nutrisystem and wish so bad I could afford to do it again. It really works!!

  72. Congratulations! It sounds like you’re doing wonderfully with NutriSystem. My sister-in-law was using the Nutrisystem plan many years ago, she is still eating well and exercising regularly. It’s not just a “diet”, it’s a new way of life. Most people don’t understand that diets don’t work for very long. You need to alter your life to keep the change.

As for myself, one day I will be on Nutrisystem also. Right now, I’m trying to find some relief from my fibromyalgia. Until I find whatever it is that works for my pain, I can’t exercise enough to make a difference in my weight and my health.

Good Luck on your goal to your Teddy Bear!

  73. You’re doing so well. Congratualtions. It’s so hard to really stick to a diet. Good luck on your goal.

  74. Wow you did great while on vacation! While on their vacations due to eating out every night & feeling the need to try all the great restaurants where you are vacationing people gain several pounds. So you get two thumbs up girl for keeping your weight under control on your trip!

  75. passed Allie’s donuts 3 times over the weekend and didn’t stop once!
