Lincoln Logs for Any Age

My kids are ages 7 and 10 and they still love Lincoln Logs and TINKERTOY building sets. They have become extremely creative lately and wanting to set-up villages in the basement for their toy figures/people. Having these sets to build with helps to expand their own creativity and critical thinking skills. Lincoln Logs require thinking to construct houses that will stay up properly, especially with windows and doors. There are so many different kinds of houses the kids can create. And as I said, they love putting little people in the houses and playing with them once their villages are complete. There are many different sets you can purchase, including a “Little Prairie Farmhouse.”

TINKERTOY building sets are also wonderful because kids can create just about anything with them. Let their minds grow and the sky is the limit. From windmills to jetpacks, those are just a couple of things my kids have designed with these sets. One awesome aspect is the fact they never get tired of playing with these toys, because they can always take apart old creations and design something new. Surprisingly, these are my 10-year old daughter’s favorite toys to play with. That truly shows these can be enjoyed at any age, even with the box showing ages 3 and up. You can get sets that range in number of pieces to different types of sets, including pink ones! How cool is that?
