The kids are now 10 and 7, and my “tween” has asked to go Trick-or-Treating in a group with her friends without a parent. Ugh! Sometimes milestones like these make me nervous. I feel like I’m living in an episode of Parenthood, and there will be some dramatic situation that I need to help solve. I hope not though. Maybe I will say yes to give her some autonomy, yet secretly drive behind them and check on them. I am so Kristina Braverman. Sometimes….. By the way, if you have not checked out Parenthood yet, it’s a MUST! I love this show! So many life lessons, and there is something for everyone. You will surely be able to connect to a character or situation. Even though it’s in the last season of the series….tears …..you can still watch it on Netflix and stream away. A perfect show to watch back-to-back episodes! You be marathoning it out over the weekends! Be prepared to be up late. It’s addicting.
I remember the days when the milestones weren’t as scary for me. Thinking back to the kids’ first Halloweens makes me tear up. I can completely recall the shows we used to watch when the kids were little. They loved movies like….. It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown and Max & Ruby’s Halloween. If they were still little today they would most likely be watching a movie like Jake and the Never Land Pirates: Trick, Treats and Treasure! on Netflix. I love being able to stream fun movies for them right from Netflix; especially since Halloween this year is on a Friday night! They can stay up late after Trick-or-Treating and watch something fun. It might be Hotel Transylvania on Netflix this year.
Stream Jake and the Never Land Pirates: Trick, Treats and Treasure! on Netflix
If you haven’t checked out Netflix yet, then you are surely missing the boat! Not only can you get DVDs in the mail, but you can also stream straight to your TV! My hubby and I especially love the Netflix original series. We love Orange Is the New Black and House of Cards. Both are TOTALLY worth checking out! We count down the days until the new seasons arrive! Until then, have a great Halloween everyone! Check out some other great milestone movies to stream through Netflix!

I love Parenthood- I don’t miss an episode, it just may be my all time favorite television show! Right this moment I am streaming some movies I have needed to catch up on on Netflix, Silver Linings Playbook, to be exact. Thanks for all the great content to check out, there’s always something new on Netflix!
Right now we are working on my little man coming home with a 100% on his spelling test. That will be a big one when it happens.
The family always bonds over Netflix movies. They’re a perfect pick-me-up.
Adorable photos of the kids! Those milestones are soooo hard. I’m approaching a difficult one in fall next year as my baby heads off to college. It seems like just yesterday they were going through the tween years. Take a deep breath and enjoy every minute, even when you’re scared that they want to go trick-or-treating alone. (Ahhhh…It’s sooo hard to let go!). Send out the spies! 🙂
Parenthood is one of my favorite shows. So sad that this is the last year it will be on television, but super happy that I can go back and rewatch all the episodes on Netflix.
We love Netflix here, these are some great titles. I’ll be sure to snuggle in today and watch some of them. It’s rainy over here, Netflix is perfect for a rainy day.
Those are really cute picks. Milestones are always bittersweet, no matter what they are. On one hand, you’re so proud of how they’re growing, but on the other hand, you want them to stop it immediately!
We love watching movies with the kids. The Croods is one of our favorites.
We don’t have kids, but we have three dogs that are just the same thing to us. Currently, we’re eagerly awaiting to celebrate a new milestone. Our new dog NOT pooping on our couch anymore. He is so weird.
Amazing how you can use movies and Netflix to highlight milestones of your family. I like that you include movie for parents to watch and discuss also.
I love watching Parenthood too. There have been so many situations in that show that I relate to. I am so bummed that this is the last season for it. I’ll have to start from the beginning again on Netflix.
Milestones. They’re a blessing and a curse. I feel so proud watching my son grow up, but I miss the days when he held my hand to cross the street and wanted to snuggle all the time.
Netflix is so great. I love the list of movies and shows you’ve recommended. They’re great for all kinds of events.
We completely got rid of our cable and strictly watch Netflix – they have everything! So fun to celebrate milestones with favorite Netflix shoes! Right now I love watching Property Brothers!
The Croods is one of our all-time favorite movies. We’ve seen it several times. =D
Great selections. I love Diners, Drive Ins and Dives. I drool when I watch the show lol.
I JUST started watching series on Netflix recently. I usually watch just movies, but I love easy entertainment access.
I love celebrating mini milestones with my little guy. It’s amazing how fast they are grow. We love watching Netflix too.

My kids love to watch Netflix kids’ shows on the iPad. I love that I can set their own channel with age-appropriate shows only.
Love Netflix, my kids watch it all the time on their tablets!
I’ve been thinking about signing up for Netflix although I hear they don’t have a wide variety of movies to choose from. This might save us money every month.
We have had Netflix for a while and have recently gotten access to the remote (my boys hog it!). Now I am hoping we have a good enough connection when we move because I am addicted.
We have literally been watching Curious George Halloween on netflix all day every day! It’s fun seeing how my girls have grown and loved netflix !
I haven’t seen Parentdood yet and I watch Netflix all the time. Not sure if it’s available on the Canadian Netflix, but I will be looking for it!
We are huge Netflix fans. I love going to it for everything in life, for when I need a pick me up, or I need to shed some tears. HA
I love Netflix! It’s so hard not to get addicted LOL!

Just finished breaking bad. I really enjoyed the show.
I think Netflix helped all three of my kids meet their milestones. They love Dragon Tales as of lately.
