I participated in a campaign for Mom Central Consulting (#MC) on behalf of Konica Minolta. I received a promotional item as a thank you for participating.
Being a former elementary and middle school teacher, I know how important it is for kids to dream and dream BIG! My own kids as well are aspiring to be a teacher and a marine biologist. Some dreams do come true, but others get altered throughout the education process and finding where in reality is a good fit for a lifetime profession. I will do everything I can to help my kids reach their dreams. Konica Minolta, an industry leader in Business Technologies, especially Production Printing, wants to celebrate enhancing children’s imaginations and encouraging them to dream big! They are running a “Giving Shape to Ideas” initiative.
As a part of this initiative, Konica Minolta created a “Dream Printer,” where children in a New York state park could approach a unique printer and share with it what they most wanted to be when they grow up. Why was it so unique? The kids could write and tell the printer what they want to be when they grow up, and it “printed out” a caricature of them dressed as that profession. I know my own kids would have loved to see a picture of themselves with their dreams coming true! Seeing something on paper makes the dream seem even more of an eventual reality. It makes kids aspire to dream big and try hard for what they want in life. Watch the video below and share it with your friends. It’s awesome and inspiring to see kids getting so excited! Dreams do come true!
I love anything that encourages kids to dream big and look at the future! Great idea!
The Dream Printer sounds awesome! It is definitely important for our children to dream big!
Neat idea! I love the idea of a program that encourages children to think to their future and help encourage them in different ways.
It is so important to encourage kids to dream big! Great ideas!
That sounds so cool! I would love to take my niece to see that and try it out!
this is awesome, I mean, if we don’t push our kids to dream big, who will? Love when companies do things like this…
Wow how neat! I love that this can help them SEE their dream becoming a reality. I can see how that could make it feel more attainable to them.
That is such a great way to get kids inspired!
What a cool idea. I just loved the video, I can imagine how excited my daughter would be. (I am so glad they showed the guy inside the printer, that was just neat!)
What a neat thing! I’m sure my daughter would have loved to have been able to do this when she was younger. I bet it will be neat to look back on that printed image when they are older to see if they really did become what they had imagined when they were younger.
This sounds like a very neat initiative. I love that it encourages kids to dream big!
That’s really awesome. I definitely think we should ALL dream big!!!
What a great idea. I always want my daughter to have dreams, very big dreams.
I love dreaming big! I totally believe in it! I love the idea of giving shape to kid’s dreams… awesome!
I love enouraging our little ones to dream big! It is so important for them to know that they have the ability to do whatever they set their hearts to.
