Mid-February of 2013, I received a call from Courtney Velasquez offering me a full-time position at Collective Bias. I was excited beyond belief to be joining the Community Management Team with Kim Janocko, Mel Lockcuff, and Brandi Jeter (now Brandi Riley). Just to give you a little background, I was a teacher for eight years (grades 4th-8th) and then I made the decision to stay-at-home once my daughter was born. I tried with daycare for her when she was 5-months old until about a year old, but then we moved states from CA to IL so I just decided to stay home with her after that.
