Easter Baskets Are Ready for Tomorrow! #EasterSmiles #CBias

The Easter Baskets are Ready! The Bunny Has Been Busy! #EasterSmiles #CBias

This year for Easter the kids have been asking for motorized toothbrushes. Getting a new toothbrush is a tradition in our family, just as it was in my family growing up! You always got a new toothbrush in your Easter basket and a new toothbrush in your stocking at Christmas. Recently the kids have been seeing me use my electric toothbrush and saying how much they want one too!

I heard there was an Easter toothbrush display at Walmart, so I thought I better head on over and check it out! I love Walmart because it’s a One-Stop-Shop for me, and I can get everything need! I planned to find the toothbrushes I needed, get some candy, toys, books, and anything else that caught my eye for the baskets.

Being slick as the Easter Bunny is, I had to sneak out at 10pm. I thought it would be easier to shop too since it was late and would be less crowded.

The first thing I came across was the Easter candy! Walmart has it displayed right at the entrance. I grabbed a few bags that I could use to stuff eggs with, as well as a couple of things to add to the baskets. I never get the huge chocolate rabbits for them, but I think a small one should be included. I would rather spend my money on toys or books that they can keep.

After picking up some candy, I decided I needed to find the toothbrush display. I searched and searched, but no display was to be found. I asked two workers that had no idea what I was talking about, but then the lady at customer service told me it was taken down a few days ago. I think it’s strange that an Easter display is taken down 5 days before Easter, but that did not stop my toothbrush mission. On to the dental aisle….

Easter Bunny Mission Complete……Found two awesome Colgate motorized toothbrushes. I got a cute pink Dora the Explorer one for my daughter, and an orange SpongeBob SquarePants one for my son! Score! These look so nice and at only $5 a piece that’s a bargain! I decided to get them matching toothpaste for their toothbrushes and some kids’ flossers as well.

Now off to fill the baskets. I passed some ready-made baskets and looked at those. I thought maybe I could just add the toothbrushes to these, but I decided I wanted to make my own and include want I wanted. I found a display of Easter books, so I picked up some of those (of course). I also found some socks, underwear, toys, and other little things. I try and make the baskets less junky and more useful. They actually love getting toothbrushes and new underwear so it’s great!

Once I got home it was time to create my masterpieces! I try and keep things even, as sometimes 5 and 7-year old kids like to compare who got what and how much. The Easter Bunny likes to be fair. It’s fun putting the baskets together too, and I especially love seeing their little faces all excited Easter morning. Tomorrow will be fun! My husband and I also hide about 80 eggs around our house for the kids to find. Although my son is still in recovery mode from his recent surgery, we are going to try and make tomorrow as normal and as fun as possible for everyone! Happy Easter everyone! Have a great holiday weekend!

And remember how important your dental health is for both you and the kids! Especially if they are eating a lot of candy for the holiday! Brush and floss twice a day and keep up on your 6 month check-ups! We are very diligent about keeping up with ours (and the kids love going). Check out the Easter Basket creations below:

You are just like me, my boys always got toothbrushes and toothpaste in their Easter baskets every year. They looked forward to them to see what character they would get, Star Wars was (and still is) a big fave of my youngest for years.
I also would get them each a book each year.
But of course, I would also give them the chocolate and peeps because the Easter Bunny would NEVER forget the sweets. =)
Hope your family has a wonderful Easter.

  24. Nice baskets! We did something similar this year by only including one chocolate item and making the rest non-edible. They get enough chocolate on Halloween, right?

  25. Those Easter baskets look lovely and best of all it has a toothbrush, great idea indeed.
