Kids’ Book Review Day: “R is for Rhode Island Red”

“R is for Rhode Island Red,” by Mark R. Allio is an educational alphabet book that teaches all about the State of Rhode Island.  You can get a different book for each State.  We got this book when we moved to Rhode Island to teach our kids (and ourselves) about the new State we moved to.  We have also collected the other States we lived in; VA, MD, OK, CA and IL.  It’s a wonderful series for kids to read over and over, learn about States, and just for entertainment.  It reads in poem like format, but it also has other facts listed along the side columns of the pages.

WHY WE LOVE THIS BOOK:

1.  Has many facts about States
2.  Hardback, 40 pages (the authors are locals to the State the book is about)
3.  The Illustrations by Mary Jane Begin are colorful and detailed
4.  There are many other books in the series as well, besides States
5.  It is rated 5 STARS on Amazon!

If you would like to purchase this book, just look on the right sidebar under “Kids’ Book Reviews” and you can purchase it through Amazon.

Overall, highly recommend this book!  It is listed as appropriate for ages 6 and up.
