Feelin' SoFabulous for SoFabCon

As I blogged about last month, I am trying to challenge myself to get healthier and feel better for SoFabCon coming up this May. SoFabCon is a Social Media Conference put on by Collective Bias, and it will be held in Bentonville, AR this May 8th-10th. A few bloggers that are planning to attend and some Collective Bias employees have embarked on a challenge called Feelin’ SoFabulous for SoFabCon to improve themselves in some capacity before the conference. I am taking part in this challenge, and as I stated in my first post, here are my goals: Goals Before SoFabCon: 1. Drink more water each day! 2. Start Yoga (which the doctor said I am allowed to do) 3. Count my points again and truly work the Weight Watchers Program 4. Feel better and have my clothes fit better 5. Feel SoFabulous by losing 20 pounds by SoFabCon! It’s been one month in and I’m reporting here on my progress. Unfortunately, I don’t have much to report on. As I mentioned in my earlier post, I have back issues and the flare ups lately have been pretty nasty. It’s kept me from not doing as much outside of the house. I see the spinal surgeon next week, so I am hoping for some answers! As for the water intake, I am working on that. I love the flavored seltzer waters! They are EASY to drink and tasty too!

I hope to have more to report next time. I want to do better with eating less processed and healthier food options and hopefully have some WEIGHT LOSS to report to everyone. One other aspect I did work on to make myself feel just a little but “SoFabulous,” was to try a new updated hairstyle. I went for copper and blonde highlights with layers. Anything you can do to make yourself feel good is a step in the right direction! I’m a work in progress, but happy with who I am even if I don’t completely reach all my goals. Healthier is better though, and I know this! I want to be around longer (for the parts I can control) and feel good for my kids!

  22. My #1 goal is always more water. I wish I was better at that!!

  23. Your hair looks super cute! Hope you’re able to resolve your back issues. When I was having back problems the first time, they figured out it was caused by an impacted gall bladder. The second time, after a bajillion tests, they thought it was probably shingles but it wasn’t. Wound up being that my back was seriously out of alignment. I’ve never been a chiro fan but it truly did the trick! Get well soon so you can enjoy yourself at SoFabCon!

  33. Your hair looks great! I’m sorry your back is still causing trouble. I hope you are able to get it figured out!

  34. Your hair looks great. I have never liked seltzer waters, not sure why just don’t. For eating healthier, I have one trick that helps me more than anything – I make things ahead. I make meals up to 5 days ahead and freeze if necessary. This allows me to grab them quicker than the unhealthy items I might otherwise grab.

  35. It’s great that you’re deciding to make these changes in your life.

  36. Kristen – you’re looking good -love your new hair style – So sorry we have the one thing I dread in common….bad backs!!! oh my – mine is actually feeling better and not giving me so much fits. See you soon, keep up the good work.

  37. You already look fabulous not sure how much better you can get.. but keeping my fingers crossed that you will accomplish all your goals, knowing you, you will get them all done next week :-)… Will keep up with you and can’t wait to hear about the conference .. wish I could come, too

  38. Your hair looks amazing! I really love the highlights! I also drink mostly mineral water, it tastes so much better than just the plain water.

  39. Good for you for making the changes and have a blast!

  40. I love those copper and blonde highlights!
