As a huge sports fan and World MasterCard® holder, I previously wrote about the Priceless golf opportunities that MasterCard® offers their cardholders. I plan to take advantage of their “Member for a Day” Priceless golf experience at the local TPC Potomac course with three of my closest golf fanatic friends. I am sure there will be some quoting of the commercial with Ian Poulter, Greame McDowell, Brandt Snedeker and Tom Watson. If you have not seen it yet you have to Google it, as it is hilarious. However, I am here to share with you a recent experience that MasterCard® gave me at the AT&T National Golf Tournament at Congressional Country Club just outside of Washington, DC.
I absolutely love watching golf on television and do so almost every week of the year to see the pros play at a level I can only dream of achieving. Whenever the PGA Tour is hosting a tournament in my area, I try to get out and see these players in person. It is amazing to see these guys hit shots with such ease and precision every time, which is something that you can’t really grasp on television.
The DC area is lucky to have one of the premier golf tournaments of the year in our backyard, the AT&T National hosted by the Tiger Woods Foundation. This tournament is great because it always gets a stacked field of the top players every year. I think it is such a great draw because Congressional Country Club is an US Open caliber golf course and has hosted that championship three times in the past (1964, 1997 and 2011). I actually attended the US Open in 1997 and 2011. Watching in person is great, but sometimes it can be very exhausting as this tournament takes place in June/July, and every DC native knows that means high 90’s and humidity. This year I was treated to “The Best Seats In The House” by MasterCard®, and they literally were the BEST SEATS.
This experience was absolutely unbelievable and defines the phrase Priceless Golf – Best Seats in the House. On this hot day, I was able to sit in a very comfortable shaded seat with fans cooling us down just off the 18th fairway. I enjoyed unlimited food and beverages and could see the players teeing off from the 10th tee or finishing on the 18th green. I sat there in total luxury all day like a kid on Christmas morning and watched guys like Adam Scott, Rickey Barnes, Jason Day and my new favorite Rickey Fowler. They only problem with these seats, is the fact that I will not want to go to another golf tournament again unless I can have seats like these. We don’t get any golf tournaments around here. Our people get excited over rodeo tournaments. Lol. But I think it’s so cool you have the chance to go watch a golf tournament and that you live so close!!

My cousin had her wedding reception at the Congressional Country Club – what a beautiful spot to review such a reward! I am not a golfer, so I would have really wanted to sit in the shade and eat unlimited snacks! My husband and son would have a blast with rewards like this, we’ll have to keep our eyes open!
