Using the iPad for Learning
~ Education Can Be Fun; Interactive Cards that Teach ~
Cypher Kids Club i3D Interactive Cards

Being a former technology teacher, two things I love talking about most are education and technology. I love when tech devices can be paired with great tools for an educational value. My kids love playing on the iPad, but some of the games they get have no educational value and I really don’t like them spending a lot of time playing games like that. On the other hand, when I find something I feel has great educational value, then I don’t mind them spending time on the iPad. These great tools I found are called Cypher Kids Club i3D Interactive Cards. They have three different ones right now; letters, numbers, and wild animals. We tried them all and loved them all, although the wild animals were their favorite.
We picked up these cards at our local Target. You can find them right in the Electronics section in the iPad aisle. The card packs are $29.99 a piece. The app to use with the pack of cards is free. You need a different app for each pack of cards. The app is very easy to upload. You can find it in your iTunes store or scan the QR-code right off the box.

Here’s How It Works

1. Download the free app onto your iPad (one for each pack)

2. Purchase the cards (we got ours from Target)
3. Open the pack and check out all the cool cards
4. Choose a card, click on the app to open it, and choose “Exploration” or “Snapshots,” and pick the card on the screen

5. Exploration: Let‘s you hear facts about the animal, letter, or number and be interactive with the screen
6. Snapshot: Makes the card 3D to view the card visually
7. Next, just place the AR card so the code is facing the camera and hold it up to the camera (behind the iPad) until the card registers

8. You will see the visual appear and hear all the facts

9. If you don’t get the angle you like you can move the card around to view a different angle

10. The app will have you interact with what is on the card and the kids will learn many facts and play at the same time (you can use these cards with your iPad, iPod, or iPhone)

My kids have already learned so much about animals from these cards, and they love playing with them over and over. I also love the letters and numbers for my son who is 5-years old and just learning to read. He loves technology, so this is a perfect way for him to have fun and learn all at the same time. These Cypher Kids i3D Interactive Cards will make a great gift for your kids this holiday season! Pick them up today at Target today!

  5. As a computer teacher and mother I see how much children are being influenced by the technology around them. It is always best to expose them to educational things and I love the program you are promoting. Thanks for sharing.

  32. Undeniably believe that which you said. Your favorite justification seemed to be on the internet the easiest thing to be aware of. I say to you, I certainly get annoyed while people consider worries that they just do not know about. You managed to hit the nail upon the top and defined out the whole thing without having side effect , people could take a signal. Will likely be back to get more. Thanks|
