Want to Stay in Style in Portland?
~ The Embassy Suites Is the Place to Be ~
As you know, we just got home recently from our trip to New Hampshire and Maine. The northern parts of New England are gorgeous, and completely surpassed our expectations. Portland, Maine is a beautiful city with rustic brick buildings and nautical character. The downtown shopping area has a quaint little cobblestone section with eclectic shops and upscale restaurants. You can also find more traditional style diners and family-friendly parks. Portland definitely is a place to visit for the family with many things to do and see.
While staying in this wonderful city, I highly recommend you check out the Embassy Suites. This hotel located near the Portland Jetport provides visitors with an easy drive in to the busy city and close to the highway for day excursions. The Embassy Suites is a hotel comprised luxury suites with many amenities and services. Our favorite things about the stay included the quality and clean rooms (all suites at this hotel), the Manager’s Reception at night where you could get complimentary drinks and snacks (5:30-7:30pm), and the full service hot breakfast including cook-to-order omelets (6:30-9:30am weekdays and 7:00-10:30am on weekends). My kids also enjoyed the pool and hot tub, while my husband and I took full advantage of the fitness room. There is a business center and area to buy items if you forgot anything from home as well. This hotel takes care of all your needs!
Our room was a one-bedroom suite with two double beds. We love having the two separate rooms so the kids can go to sleep first while we watch TV in the living area. The room also contained a nice clean bathroom with a large sink area, living room with a pull-out couch, and a kitchen area which included a refrigerator and microwave. The suite was perfect for our family of four. It even offered an office area which I used for my nightly blogging about our trip.
The main lobby area was large and decorated with class. It was a nice area to hang out in, especially when you are grabbing those complimentary drinks and some snacks at the Manager’s Reception. The lobby area led into the hotel’s restaurant, Cafe Stroudwater. This restaurant is available for dinner (5:00pm-10:00pm), and also serves as the area for the hot breakfast in the mornings. The food there is wonderful.
Remember to visit the Embassy Suites in Portland, Maine when you are taking a trip up north. Whether for business or pleasure, this hotel is affordable for a luxury night’s stay in a suite, and you will have every amenity and service you could need. The bonus manager’s reception and fantastic breakfast are far beyond that of other chain hotels. Your experience here will be super special. This hotel also offers some very special entertainment on Monday nights from 7:00pm-9:30pm, so be sure to check out The Tony Boffa Band in the lobby.
