Book Review By MamaLuvsBooks:
If you like authors Jen Lancaster and Jill Smokler, then you will love author Jill Conner Browne. She’s a tell-it-like-it-is writer who holds nothing back. In this book she writes about survival of things in life that get you down. It may be getting older, gaining weight, your finances, parenting, or even just the state of the economy in this country. Browne is hilarious and writes so that people can relate to her and the situations she describes. You will feel like you know her by the end of this book, and maybe also that she might have known you.

This book is written almost like a Chicken Soup for the Soul book where each chapter is like it’s own short story. I liked this about the book because I could just read a chapter at night and put it down. I never had to worry about re-reading portions because I was lost (and that is good because Browne goes into how our minds just aren’t as sharp as they used to be once we get into our 30’s, and I’m well into them now)!

My favorite chapters were the ones about the animals she acquired at her home to take care of (could relate), the parts about us getting older (again~could relate), the section about loving food and her recipes (ha! relating still), and the part about her living the Swamp People life before the show even came out was hilarious (could not relate but so funny).

THINGS I LOVE ABOUT THE BOOK:
1. It is fun to read with chapters being like short stories

2. It has relevant topics that most people can relate to
3. It is a great pick-up and put-down book
4. Some stories cracked me up!
5. Love how she tells is like it is and actually gives some sound advice as well

6. She writes like she’s sitting down and talking to you as a friend (and maybe even a friend that has been drinking and sounds like a sailor on occasion)

7. It’s received other positive reviews on Amazon
8. She has a whole series of books which I can’t wait to read!

    Ill go gracefully

  4. I don’t feel like I am aging, but really, I am! I am not going gracefully. I am going with exercise, oatmeal face wash, and lots of love and laughter. That should keep me younger than my real age for quite a while.
