Kids’ Book Review Day: “We Are in a Book!”

The “Elephant and Piggie” series by Mo Willems (author/illustrator) is another great book series near the top of our list!  We have collected many of them in hardback! Our favorite is We Are in a Book!  Here is what we like best about it (and the others as well):

1.  VERY easy to read – Great for kids learning to read (only books my daughter would start with because they were interesting/funny to her)
2.  Uses entertaining story lines – simple themes
3.  Funny characters with funny interactions with each other
4.  Illustrations are simple but effective!

5.  Like this one book (above) in particular because the characters “see” the reader reading the book and they don’t want it to end.  The characters “talk” to the reader.  Very funny!!!

Other Elephant and Piggie Books:
Should I Share My Ice Cream?
I Broke My Trunk!
Can I Play Too?

Today I Will Fly!
I Will Surprise My Friend!
My Friend is Sad
